Terms of Service

By using services provided by ctnblack ("us", "we", or "our"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

⚠️ Data Loss & Liability

ctnblack is NOT responsible for any data loss.

While we exercise great care with your devices, hardware failiure or software corruption can happen during repairs. It is the customer's sole responsibility to back up all data, documents, and photos before submitting a device for service. By authorizing service, you release ctnblack from liability for any data loss.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ctnblack be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits or data. Our liability is limited strictly to the cost of the service provided.

Mechanic's Lien

Pursuant to Texas Property Code Chapter 70, ctnblack retains a possessory lien on all equipment until full payment is received. Devices left unpaid may be retained or sold to satisfy the debt.

Services & Warranty

Computer Repair: We provide a 30-day labor warranty on all hardware repairs. If the exact same issue recurs within 30 days, we will fix it without additional labor charges.

*Virus/Malware removal is NOT covered by warranty if the machine is reinfected by user actions.

💻 Web Development Terms

  • Payment Schedule: A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to begin any web development project. The remaining 50% is due upon project completion, before the site is launched or code is transferred.
  • Revisions: Quotes include two (2) rounds of revisions. Additional changes after this period will be billed at our standard hourly rate.
  • Intellectual Property: Upon full payment, the client owns all rights to the finished website code and design. ctnblack retains the right to display the project in our portfolio.
  • Client Content: You are responsible for providing all text, images, and media. You warrant that you have the legal right to use all provided materials.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. This includes but is not limited to devices containing illegal content, biohazards (insects, bodily fluids), or abusive behavior.

Software Licensing

Customer certifies they own valid licenses for all software requested to be installed. We will not install cracked, pirated, or unlicensed software.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to parts shipping delays, natural disasters, power outages, or pandemics.

Unclaimed Property

Any device left in our possession for more than 30 days after we have notified you that service is complete (or deemed unrepairable) will be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to dispose of, recycle, or sell such equipment to recoup costs in accordance with Texas law.

Payments

Payment is due immediately upon completion of service. We accept verified forms of payment as agreed upon at drop-off. Devices will not be released until payment is made in full.
